Wow it's the holidays and you would think I would get a break but no. I've been working and working, and dear Lord school is creeping up so fast again!
Where will I fit my workout time, frnds time, family time, ME time and all the above??? My hours at work are going to get cut off for the new year.. that's the plan; however, have been working the past few days like everyday I have noticed more and more people signing up at Golds. It's all bout their new year's resolution thing. People desperately want to loose weight. Wether they will or not, is based on their performance.
Here is a few tips for you who are in desperate need of loosing weight.
1st .. ask yourself, are you serious? Are you committed? Are you motivated? If not. Don't bother. There are people who loose and gain weight very easy. Me being one of those. But if you are not one of those people, you will not see results unless you are serious, committed, and motivated. Loosing weight doesn't happen over night.
2nd. Ignore how much you weigh as a number. You can be a skinny ass girl and weigh 100lbs and be fat. Fat weighs less than muscle. So on the other hand, if your just tripping out that you weigh a lot but your body is in a good shape, and you don't look bad at all then don't worry. Get real. The more you thing of your weight and tell yourself that you're fat, the bigger you will see yourself. People always see themselves a size or 2 bigger than they actually are and most of the time it's because they keep telling themselves that they are fat. It's in their head, but it's still good to tone your body and look& feel that much better!
3rd. Most of you don't know, but you are not able to loose weight in one part of your body no matter how much you exercise that area (example tummy fat.) Exercising a specific area/ part of your body only makes it more toned(cut) or muscular (ripped.) In order to loose body fat you must do cardio of coarse, we all know that. But, what most people don't know is that your heart rate must be on a set number of beats during your entire cardio work out. That said. no, it cannot be on just any number. You can get that number through a trainer who knows his/her stuff. I remember when I weighed 115-120 I had to try and push my heart rate to stay at 130. If my heart rate was any higher, then I'm working out my heart.. and not burning fat.
4th. Eat eat eat and EAT! Eat healthy every 2 hours. Starving yourself will not do you any good. You will end up with more problems than you started with! If you eat very often your body will realize that there is food coming in constantly, and will try to work harder and faster to burn it off giving you plenty of energy. This will work as long as what you are eating is healthy and not junk.
5th. SAUNA. Don't sleep in the sauna for hours thinking that you will sweat you weight off. Too much sauna is actually unhealthy. If your gym has a sauna, take advantage of that and every time after your work out relax in the sauna for 15mins. That's all you need to get rid of toxins in your body and heal your body's day of work.
